It’s raining by Ananias Léki Dago

It’s raining. Abidjan looks gray.
It is humid. The soil is wet.
It is thundering. People are rushing for getting inside.
But i wanna go out to feel it, smell it, hear it.
I feel like going back to my childhood,
When i used to play innocently under the rain
It is raining in Abidjan. The sky is umpty.
I am wondering where the birds are.
