Exports of coffee beans from Ivory Coast’s port of Abidjan, the commercial capital, fell 63 percent in October, according to data from the harbor.
Shipments amounted to 2,710 metric tons, compared with 7,313 tons a year earlier. Exports of soluble coffee produced in Abidjan rose to 492 tons from 380 tons a year ago in the same period.
Ivory Coast primarily grows robusta beans, a variety mainly used in instant coffee and espresso.
